So, I think I found a way to gracefully get down to 169 lbs.
What I am doing is eating alot of tuna to keep me full! Now, Tuna is great with chopped onions, chopped Clausen half spears, and low sodium mustard. Yeah, I know that doesn't sound that great, but I am shedding these last few pounds without feeling hungry.
Tuna is low in calories. One can equals 100 calories so I literally make 2 sandwiches with 2 cans! That's 440 calories. the pickles and onions and low cal mustard keep me right at my goal calories of 500. I am going to see in these days to come if I actually lose weight as fast as I do with my ham sandwich diet, but the thing is that I am getting tired of ham! So, fellow FS inspirations, here goes something!

Jaime, my great aunt swears by a serving of ice cream (170-190 kcal) and black coffee as a good laxative.

I eat 2 cans of sardines when I eat fish. As much as I love tuna, I avoid fish high on the ocean food chain because of all of the Mercury and heavy metals present. Sardines are high in omega 3, and around 22 grams of protein per can, and I love the taste, but best of all there is little concern for toxins.

Jaime, coffee works for me. Try to get some fats in along with stuff that has fiber in it to help ya out. If you get bad, try some metamucil or something like that. When going back to eating tuna or sandwiches, you might want to try some high fiber bread. Just suggestions

Instead of a magnesium -based laxative (works by increasing peristalsis -- and sometimes cramping and diarrhea) my MD recommends Miralax (MIRA-lax -- LOL!), which is "osmotic": it draws fluid to the intestines to soften stool. It works very well for me.

So, lucky there was SOME movement and it wasn't bad. Thank God. I don't need that painful constipation and didn't have that. Benefiber or triscuits seem like the healthiest option. For it so I am headed to the store for my breakfast for dinner to try to flush this 89cent tuna out of me!

I’d forgotten my dr recommends miralax because it’s not habit forming and your body doesn’t get used to it. My masseuse said I need a magnesium supplement to loosen my muscles. She said it would also loosen the bowels so to take it at night and go in the morning.

peeperjj, Mg as a supplement may be good, even necessary, for muscle function. Food sources are ideal. The dosage in a Mg laxative is much higher, designed to create very strong "spasms" in the colon. I'm so glad that Miralax (and generic brands) work for me.
