Thank you nikeit❣️ Yoga helps me with physical and mental balance. I feel calm and happier when I’m done. It helps me sleep more soundly too. When I was injured and I couldn’t even change my own clothes, yoga saved me. 💕💕💕

Heavens, moo! You are amazing. I've tried a little yoga and... My knees were so very unhappy. Like most things, I probably tried to do way to much way too soon. I'm not good at moderation when it comes to working, but it out me off my running so I stopped. I used to be able to put my palms on a stair below the one on which I was standing... I used to be flexible.😁

Melissa, these are for me to look back on. I used to not be able to even reach under my legs, then one day my finger tips touched, now I can grab my wrists. There are more I can do to improve but baby steps. I post on safety first. Work with a trained professional first to get your body into proper alignment. Maybe sign up for a class? Get in a meditation session and meet some new friends?

That's awesome! I've been working on that pose. I can get one side but not the other. And only finger tips clasped.

I started that way too letty. My left side is stronger but my right side is more flexible. 💁🏻‍♀️

@keyten77: Hi there, it is great that you are practicing. The power come from your bellybutton area. Think of that as the middle of a spider webb and every thing else as an expression from there. As for the pose: Press the whole of the bended knee into the floor and make sure your knee does not travel below your ankle and not hang out or rely on your hip joint to hold you. Really fire up your glutes. The extended leg should have completed contact with floor. one long slender line coming from the hip joint. Once there, put your elbow that is above your bended knee on top of the knee, on the floor , or you may clamp them as in the photo. if you are not clasping, you can bring the top hand at an angle to be in one complete line with your extended leg. then you look at the hand and BREATH as if you are reaching out to infinity.
