Did he use an online recipe of some kind? Those look really good. Lucky you have such a chef husband!!!

Liv001, no, I get online email from a lady that writes books on keto and she sends out recipes now and then. I adapted this one and added the coconut flour and the lemon with lemon zest. Sometimes I add more than what the recipe calls for. She also had it as raspberry scones and I changed it to blueberry. It's very simple you should try it. I did post the recipe out there on one of my days. I'll go back to it and copy and paste it over to today.

188 calories 6.73 total carbs for two scones. My husband made scones for breakfast. They were absolutely amazing! We just finished so I guess we'll count it as brunch. Awesome! We put lemon and lemon zest into the batter. Cut in half. Butter all over them. You all need to try them. So easy to make, and just a few ingredients make these easy peasy and delicious. My husband is quite the chef. He's open to trying anything.

Here is the secret scone recipe. Now if you tell anybody I'm going to have to kill you. LOL Keto Blueberry Lemon Scones Ingredients: 1 cup almond flour, 2 Tbs of coconut flour, 2 eggs (we used egg whites sometimes. Adjust the calories if you do)beaten, 3 teaspoons sugar substitute, 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 1½ teaspoons baking powder, Pinch of salt, ½ cup blueberries, 2 Tbs grated zest of lemon & squeeze juice of 1 lemon into batter. Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. 3. combine almond flour, Sweetner & baking powder. Stir well. In seperate bowl beat eggs, vanilla, zest & lemon juice. Mix all ingredients well. 4. Add blueberries and gently fold in. 5. (optional) Add a few drops of Special Oil (mct) to help burn stubborn fat. 6. spoon 2 tablespoons batter, onto the baking sheet. 7. Place baking sheet into preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool for 10 min. Nutrition Facts Calories 133 Total Fat 8.6G Protein 1.5G Total Carbohydrate 4G Dietary Fiber 2G

Just kidding. You can share with anybody I don't care. And I adjusted the calories and carbs based on us using egg whites not whole eggs. Makes a little bit of a difference.

Another thing you can do with these scones girls, you can use any kind of berry, raisins, chocolate chips, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar into the dough, you can add Craisins, any kind of nut, just let your imagination run with you. No matter how you slice it it's awesome! Also, if you want a glaze on the top, it does not take a lot of powdered sugar mixed with a little milk and beat with a little cream cheese like two Oz. If it doesn't beat up for you very well, put it in your microwave for 10 seconds. Then just drizzling on the top with lines. Always do a finger test first. If you don't like the taste, just add a tiny bit of vanilla or lemon juice. Hope you enjoy the scones girlfriends
