Needed comfort after a terrible week. Rice porridge. Googling the calorie intake I found that there are Chinese/Korean varieties that are on the savory side. Martha Stewart has a light fruit version.This one has coconut milk and condensed milk....😱😒😵

I love sweetened condensed milk but would not dare to have it anywhere near me I think it is my favorite food substance in the universe along with coconut milk. But have you tried munkfruit sugar? Zero calories and zero glycemic index and it is not filled with chemicals. You can get it on amazon and at Whole Foods. Just a thought.

That sounds amazing! Warm sweet porridge! Someone mentioned monk fruit sweetener. It has a little after taste but I’ve used it in small amounts to add sweet so I could put less sweet in(and I bought it to do that, ironically, for reducing the of condensed milk I was putting in my daily Thai iced tea. Ha!) I did use monk fruit sweetener as my only sweetener when I was on keto and as you get used to it you naturally can handle the taste and can add more.

@ Lego 2014 and Jewellynn- Thanks. I actually use stevia leaf/monk fruit sweetener packets everyday for my tea, coffee, oatmeal etc. Yesterday I was really feeling the need for comfort food and the nostalgia of being young and care free so I made the rice porridge the way my grandmothers made it when I was a child... full of carbs and fat. It was delicious.
