Sandy701's Journal, 31 Jul 10

Just got back from walking the dogs and eating breakfast. The heat and humidity is so bad, even shortly after 6AM, it's almost too hot for the poochies. Was 82 degrees with a dew point of 72 when we started, so we walked a shorter distance and I made sure we stayed in the shady parts of the road/sidewalks as much as possible. It's supposed to be another day of near record heat with highs in the upper 90's.

Whatever we do, we'll be doing it inside this weekend.

My weight's actually been at 204 these past couple of days, so it looks like the 203 was just a touch-down. That's OK I guess. I've been thinking how anti-climactic it is to spend all the time we do entering food details here, shopping for food, researching food and related topics on the net, carefully preparing and measuring our food - only to have the scale stay the same or creep downward ever so slightly. Well....maybe if I had done this years ago, I wouldn't be dealing with this now. It's just hard to spend so-o-o-o much time and effort on something (weight loss) that pays off so little on a daily basis. Of course, it IS nice when all those days of mini-losses finally start adding up to substantial losses.

DH says he's going on Atkins tomorrow, begrudgingly. In a way, that makes meals and grocery shopping a whole lot easier.
