Ok, my scale is possessed! The evil thing says I gained another two pounds since yesterday, when I actually managed to stay under my RDI. I am NOT recording that. Grrrr.....

Okay, I've been working out pretty hard the last 8 days in a row; maybe all those muscles are holding on to fluid while they repair themselves. I took a picture of me in my new skinny jeans I found at an awesome price, I think I'll use the pic for my image. They fit like when I bought them.

Done with my whine/rant. :o)

Water retention most likely, not to worry, plus muscle is denser than fat. The jeans are your best measure.

Settle down Missy, you look great in those jeans,scales can be you best friend or your enemy in these things. I try to only weigh myself once a week, I prefer to use the mirror and my clothes as a better judge.

I got cold in that bathing suit pic, lol! Thanks, my buddies. I got all ready to go to the gym, feeling sleek in my yoga pants & purple dry-fit top, then realized my knees & shoulders ached too much to go do a bunch of stuff on my knees (even with double thick yoga mat & memory foam bath mat) as well as planks, push-ups, lunges of all sorts, etc. Plus I'm tired & dizzy, which doesn't bode well for my performance in willPower & grace. I'm sitting here enjoying music, birds & squirrels entertaining Beau, and a hot pack I move from my knees to my shoulders to my feet; ahhh. I have enough sense to listen to my body, though that stupid scale wanted me to go scurrying off to the gym, I'm sure, lol. I texted my workout buddy to let her know I'd be there tomorrow, though I'd need to rest today. We had a great time in Zumba yesterday; cool down song was "Close to You", The old Carpenters song. A couple of my buddies & I started singing along & dancing around before the cool-down started, dancing in a three-person waltz, had the whole class laughing, plus a lot of the other "old folks" like us singing along. The instructor really got into it, had us all do campy moves to the swelling music, exagerating stuff; it was a blast and a great way to cool down & be ready for the next more intense Zumba class. Life is good, both in the fast lane and the slow-it-down lane.
