Sorry Folks. I'm still battling the latter stages of this flu bug. I took a personal day off from work yesterday to try and get a little rest, and hopefully kick the healing process into high gear. Didn't work. I did get about 3 hours sleep after I called into work, and after I got my chores done. Unfortunately, last night I never went to sleep at all. I came into work anyway; I can be just as miserable at work, and not use any of my vacation time, just as easy as I can stay home, use my vacation time, and not get any better. The News reports say that once you've entered into this perpetual coughing stage, it's no longer contagious. I guess it really doesn't matter; half the factory has the stuff anyway. It sounds like half the planet has this stuff right now. But, I have figured out I might as well be working out in the cold and doing what I need to get done anyway, because resting doesn't seem to make a bit of difference. I ended up watching the movie Courageous from about 2 to 4 this morning; I had been wanting to see it anyway. If I nod off at work, I'll just tell them I'm checking my eyelids for leaks. Hey, it's better than taking a nap on the drive home!
After reading that article about the couple in the 60's running a marathon everyday for 365 days, I was drawn to investigate how they did it. I think the woman claimed to only have had one sick day in her whole life. After seeing what they eat everyday, I can only say that I hope they live forever; but as for me and my house, I'm going to eat real food. Well, enough rambling for now. I'm going to finish my chicken noodle soup (Progresso Lite) and prop myself up in front of the keyboard and let nature take its course. Toodles!
