Okay, it's a new year, which means it's time for new goals.
I looked at my progress last year, and before my health issues, I was averaging a 5 lb loss a month. Therefore, since I feel I have learned my body and learned some valuable lessons, I will not push myself to lose like crazy. I want to continue a 5 lbs. loss each month this year. So, here are my mini goals for the year:
Starting weight Jan. 1: 177.8
Feb. 1: 172.8
Mar. 1: 167.8
Apr. 1: 162.8
May 1: 157.8
June 1: 152.8
July 1: 147.8
Aug. 1: 142.8
Sept 1: 137.8
Oct. 1: 132.8
Nov. 1: 127.8
Dec. 1: 122.8
Final Goal for year Dec 30: 118

Don't know if I'll actually get this far, but making it my ultimate goal anyway!

Sounds pretty good. Just remember the smaller you get the harder it is to take off the last little bit. I think you have done awesome the past year and I hope all your dreams come true!

Yeah, I seriously doubt I'll get down to 118 by the end of the year, but I would be happy getting down to 130. Just thought I would inspire myself to push farther if I happen to get to 130 before the year's up!

I definitely think you can do it. I am sure there will be months where you lose more than what you projected. Is your work going to have more incentives for health this year?

They should. They've done a contest the last three years, but this was the first year I participated. I tracked what I could of my steps for December and turned them in. If I calculated correctly, I should have 15 entries into the contest. I emailed the wellness committee at our corporate office and shared my weightloss experience (and my before/after pic) with them. I received an email back saying they wanted to use my story to promote the wellness dept. Then I got an email from the president of our company stating the wellness committee had forwarded my email and pic to him and he wanted to congratulate me on my success! That was so inspirational! It really made me want to keep reaching for my goals!

You can do it!!! Those are great goals, and very reasonable! I'll be right there with you and we'll be rockin some seriously cute beach bods by summer! :)

Sounds good! I'm depending on the idea that some months will see more progress than other months, and gonna put my best effort into making it work! :)
