Smacked face first into a wall on Monday of this week and descended thru the downward spiral until right now. My legs are dangling and my arms are grasping desperately at the edges of the slide trying my best not to let all of me fall completely off the ledge. I don't handle unplanned circumstances well but I also know that I consciously chose to let myself go. I used excuses disguised as reasons why I didn't need to stick to my plan.

Now, the brakes are on and I'm planning to make my climb once again. The five pounds I gained back are only 5 pounds. They are one belt loop, one extra gasp while trying to walk my dog, one extra uncomfortable ache in my desk chair, one extra groan when buckling my seat belt.

Only 5 lbs and quickly turn into only 10, 15, 40 lbs if I graciously let it.

I caught this one. I'm back. I'm focused and ready to head back into battle. I already feel better knowing that I've admitted this minor defeat and have planned on getting back to win the war. It's going to to be a good weekend. I know who and where I want to be and how to get there.
