crabby Kat's Journal, 07 Dec 12

Oh, I may have done a bad thing. I just made some peppermint bark cookies, with a shortbread crust, dark chocolate peppermint ganache sprinkled with crushed peppermint candy then drizzled with white chocolate. If I can cut the 9x13" pan of them onto 50 pieces, each one is 95 calories. I entered my recipe into my cookbook so I can record when I eat some.

OH, I WILL EAT SOME! They look and smell amazing.

How do I record the little bits of chocolate I licked off my fingers, LOL? Not much, but enough to know I'm in trouble! I better package them up tonight to give away.

It did keep me busy, baking and melting and entering my recipe, washing all the dishes I used, etc.

How fast & how long do I have to peddle my exercise bike to burn off a cookie? :o) I cut them in 60 pieces which still gives me 79 calories each. I put them away, but I've "tried" two. Sigh. I created a really good recipe that will make good gifts for other people.

Burned 'em off; 15 min hill climb at 15 mph, and I had to move a bunch of stuff to get to by exercise bike, LOL.

Hehe, Send me your recipe! lol. Sometimes when I am biking, I visualize the food or calories I am burning off. I think maybe a rotation is like a grain of rice. Imagine we could look down the road and see how far it would be to burn off a cookie. Hmm, thats an idea!
