Coolish day and overcast for my 3.1-mile walk today. Doggies and I headed over on the lake route because we hadn't done that route in awhile. It has a few hills and can also be too hot in the full sun, so today was a perfect day to go trudge up and down the hills. LOL!

Eeked out another .8-pound loss on the scale this morning, so I'm hopeful I can log a "steady" weight either tomorrow or Saturday, although I'll be up earlier than usual on both days.

DH put together a lunch snack this week that he says he doesn't like....so he's leaving them for me. Basically, it's a piece of lunch meat wrapped around a pickle spear with a small amount of cream cheese with chives in there, as well. I tried one this morning, instead of another piece of bacon, and I like them! So, I'll be happy to eat them up for him. We'll have to see how my body likes this new food...I've been under the impression that my body seems to stall out a bit with cream cheese products or cream cheese used in recipes. It might not be the cream cheese, but other items in recipes, but I'm still a bit wary of it. Generally, pickles and low-carb lunch meat don't pose a problem for me (she says with fingers crossed and knocking on wood...).

Your hubby's recipe sounds yummy - and cute enough to serve to a mixed group. From yesterday - sorry I misunderstood your predicament. Wondering if all the walking (and painting) you did changed your metabolism?

Who knows, Buffy, who knows. And as far as the pickle snack is concerned, yes, all one would need to do is cut it up a bit and put one of those fancy frilly toothpicks in each piece and it would be all set to serve!

Jaime, I think his tastebuds are goofed up. He thought the cream has gone bad (it hadn't), he thought this pickle deal had an odd taste to it (it didn't), and he believed soemthing else had an off-taste to it too. He's now blaming it on the WOE!!! LOL!!!
