Needing to journal today. I made it through my son’s birthday week with lots of food and treats everywhere. I did eat a lot of pizza, there was cake and ice cream involved, and counting/measuring Chinese food(that was a first), but I stayed within my weight loss calories until yesterday when I got a bit closer to maintenance amounts. I am a little nervous about my cravings to continue eating these foods, but I’m a week out from my TOM, so this is normal lol. I really should be proud of myself though. In the past if I had stopped working out due to injury, and a birthday came up I would have just thrown in the towel. This is all new to me. Feels pretty amazing to care for myself and trust myself.

I know I’m going to have hard times when I do need to pick myself back up again and get back on track. This time around though I’m doing it in a way where I don’t feel like quitting because it feels so good and I don’t have to cheat. The amount of food I allot myself feels just right. It’s my guide and my friend now, instead of feeling like deprivation and a sacrifice.

are you counting your calories? I am, and I think that helps, no matter how much I eat I do log them. I hope you can be able to do your exercise routine soo

Yes, I count calories😊 I log everything as well. I agree, it helps to count regardless of the amount. I managed to not go over this time thankfully. Still have 8lbs to get to my first goal, and then I’m going to re-evaluate.

Maybe I didn’t word my journal very well Chrisw77. I totally stayed within weight loss amounts, but while eating junk. Just living while losing 😜. Now it’s time for some fruit for breakfast, and a giant salad for dinner🥗

chrisw77 I’m still staying active, but it’s pretty much all abs and taking care of my kids/house. I love having a tight core, so I’m glad I can at least do that. My elbow and wrist still need rest. I’m in so much pain because I didn’t stop and take care of them weeks ago and pushed through for too long. I’ll get back at it, but if I start too soon I could be right back where I started. Rest, stretching, light exercises, repeat👍🏼

Ha! You’re funny. Thanks, I can’t believe I could still lose this week after eating all of my old binge foods in moderation. Mind blowing.
