Breakfast of champions, made myself a nice pork chop and threw in the cauliflower the last couple minutes to heat it up. I use those frozen veggies in the bag and then just dole out what I need everyday.

yesterday was a tough day, woke to muscle craps in my calf and foot at 2;30 in the am. and the legs were congested all morning. Had tons of stretching before I could even attempt my exercise. Much later in the day then I normally do.

Since I have started with the physical therapy the cramping has backed off a lot. my brain fog has been much better too, so I actually could figure what I ate to set this off. I have some almond butter fat bombs that I don't eat and I ate a large one the night before and one in the morning. After over an hour of treatment and stetching at therapy, I decided I will be making some clean nut free fat bombs.

I am also adjusting my calories up again and making breakfast more of a priority. Reading up on the commonsense keto facebook page, new thoughts are to eat a very hearty higher protein meal in the morning. All about the fasting state and the higher insulin response in the morning. Says it is better to take advantage of this state and eat your higher protein and carbs first thing. So I will give it a try.

Cramping can be a lack of potassium or magnesium in the diet.

Hope you will get relief from the cramping soon!

actually Marx in my case it is not. My muscles shortened and tore in one leg well over 10 years ago when I was still skinny. That is why I am getting physical therapy now. He is helping to lengthen the calf muscle. Needless to say this knocks my entire body off and it is fighting back. Just like when you dislodge your back, the muscles tighten and when you get put back in place the muscle contract later and pull it right back out until they relax. I spend a good portion of my day just doing stretching exercises. Frustrating

Ah, yeah injuries would explain a lot. As someone said "We are walking around in a used car that we can never trade in, just maintain." :)

Best wishes on the physical therapy - I've been there and it is really hard sometimes!

Dr Bernstein has done Keto for 60+ years I think for managing his Type 1 diabetes. He go for pure protein breakfast, and proteins with 12 grams carbs at lunch and dinner, in form of low carb vegs and greens. Fit, goes to gym, and still work full time. Well into his 80s. Often think of him as a good model to go by. Can be tricky to set a model for one self with all the info we got around us.

yes, it was hard to eat so heavy in the morning and I was full for hours. It was a real struggle yesterday to get my calories up. as usual I just was too full. ended up eating enough fat bombs before bed to get to almost 1400 calories which was my set point.
