RE the VERY rapid weight loss I've just experienced, it is not true weight loss. I've been sick and haven't been able to hold much down which means I will probably be back to my "regular" weight by the end of the week. I am recording it mostly as a reminder that temporary weight fluctuations happen both ways and not to let myself get discouraged by them.
