Ugh...went to the gym earlier and spent an hour on the treadmill. I feel like crap. Been doing keto for over a month now and have not felt this bad before. I've been keeping net carbs down to 20 or below consistently and hit the keto flu for a few days. This feels worse. Possibly dehydrated ?

Are you getting enough potassium? One of the hard things about Keto is keeping the minerals balanced, sodium (pink salt) and potassium. I used to drink pickle juice shots and it helped a lot!!!

Take a multivitamin and get a nice water bottle so you always have water on hand, makes it much easier to stay hydrated

I’m kinda lost with this whole Keto thing. My body seems to hate me for it so unfortunately I can’t offer too much advice. Are you getting enough salt?

if you run an hour a day and do not eat enough carbohydrates your body will be without energy, drink a lot of water, in my opinion 1 hour cardio is not good, is better if you do hit cardio for 20min a day, keep your daily sodium at 2500mg and 3500mg potassium

Your body is definitely telling you something. Listen to it and try a lower duration of intensity and definitely hydrate.

as everyone else has suggested make sure you are getting at least 60 ounces of water, with your added salt and electrolites this should help a lot there are only two things that seem to make me feel bad on this diet and one is my palpitations and cramps when I forget to drink enough liquids and the other is when I forget to eat enough fiber in my veggies and get constipated. I supplement potatisium, calciam, magnesium and salt daily. hopefully this will help and definitely slow down on the vigerous exercise until you feel like yourself.

IF you want to use a ketogenic diet, you've really got to ramp up your fluid intake. I don't use Keto now (I have previously) because I always feel lightheaded and dizzy during induction phases. It works, but I find other strategies (similar to South Beach or a Mediterranean diet) more sustainable. But I know a lot of people get good results with Keto (or Atkins, as they called it back in the day).

Electrolytes it's what it sounds like you need.

Eating keto, your kidneys shed more salt so you need to supplement electrolytes. Have a cup of salty broth or bouillon a couple of times a day. Also, during the first 6 months, muscle glycogen is low, which may account for lowered energy when exercising.

I've been drinking tons of water. Keeping up with bone broth and naturally salty foods like Kalmata olives and ground beef. I don't know if I'm doing the appropriate portions. All your suggestions are WONDERFUL! Thanks for the support ❤️

If I do not eat a decent amount of something with protein in it right after I do a long workout, I feel awful. The last thing I want to do is eat because I feel nauseated but it's the only thing that makes me start feeling better.
