From what I've seen, a pound of zucchini noodles costs about $5.00; fresh zucchini costs about $1.00 a pound. A good spiralizer costs $25 - $35 and it takes about 5 minutes to set it up and spiralize a couple of zucchini, plus many other veggies and fruit. Take a look on YouTube. I have a Panderno, 4 blades. Love it.

do u find that the zoodles r soggy or watery if u saute them? I haven't perfected my zoodle...

The frozen ones are garbage. I refused to eat them, gave them to the dogs. They also wouldn’t eat them. Use fresh, hot pan, cold oil, cook ’em quick.

Marpingo, if I'm cooking them was soon as I make them, I let my pan get very hot before I add them; also, be sure your pan is large enough, don't overcrowd them.. If I'm going to use them later I put them in a container that I've lined with paper towels to absorb the excess moisture and I use them within a day or two.

YUM. Been making lots of zucchini noodles now that my garden is churning them out. That looks delicious!

Yes, they can be soggy. Not a texture similar to wheat pasta..

I don't have a problem with zucchini noodles being soggy, but I only cook what I'm going to eat immediately. I understand that if they sit in a dish for a while they get wattery.
