Johanne's Journal, 21 Nov 10

Friends took me out yesterday to see Harry Potter and to dinner afterwards. The movie was fun, dinner was amazing and my friends were wonderful. We went to Zio's and I had Greek pasta. For dinner, I ate a whole day's calories, but it was healthy, delicious, and I had planned it, so it was all good. My fat intake was over 45%, but since that was all olive oil in the pasta and pesto, I'm not concerned. Thankfully, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday after my weekly weigh-in, so next week's spike day will fall at a perfect time. What a lovely week-end!!!

Yes, sounds wonderful to spend a nice evening with friends! Would you recommend the movie? I LOVED the books and hated to see the end! I wish you luck with the weigh ins.... it's tough at this time of year! We'll be having family over for several days, so that makes it extra challenging!

I'm so lucky to have such good friends. The movie is very like the first half of Deathly Hallows book. Of course, they couldn't cover it all. I wouldn't recommend it for children, but for adults who love the books, it's pretty much spot on. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the last two books for children either. I loved it, but I think I may not add it to my movie collection until 2012 when they release the two part set, which I'm sure they will. I'm hoping for a good weigh-in this week. The day AFTER my official weigh-in last week, I was down a full pound. LOL.

I saw the movie yesterday.. I did bring my kids ages 14 and 8... They loved it.. My son however was a bit upset about Dobie!! I must admit that i found both the middle of the book and the middle of the movie a bit DRAWN out..and a BIT too LONG for my liking!!! what is greek pasta?? I'm not a big fan of pesto but I LOVE OLIVES!!! Your weight chart looks awesome!! PROUD OF YOU!!

Greek pasta is something Zio's makes with Sliced chicken breast sauteed in garlic and olive oil with kalamata olives, green onions, red pepper flakes and oregano. They then top it with diced Roma tomatoes and feta cheese and serve it over rigatoni. Yummm! Amy, the entire center of the book is even slower than the movie. That is why I said it was spot on. Thanks, I'm pretty proud of me too. LOL. I just wish it was coming off a little faster like it does for some others. But I'm happy it's coming off at all at my age. :-)
