JamaicaBoundNL's Journal, 28 Feb 16

Six weeks to go before my vacation. My plan was to start stretching yesterday to move towards exercising again. Note I said "was". My order of yarn for 2 afghans arrived Friday. So, I'm already into one of them. Which means sitting, not stretching. Gotta start moving today. I expect to be stretching while whistfully gazing at the multitude of colours, wanting only to have yarn and hook in my hands. But, today I'm starting - 20 minutes is not much time to take away from crocheting.

It would be great to crochet for 10 mins, stretch for 10 then you'd get both done. :) Hope you enjoy both.

I never could crotchet...buy grew up in a family of knitters, crotcheters and embroiderers. Enjoy!

I actually squeezed in 20 minutes of stretching in one session. :-) I knit my first square when I was 4. That was nearly 44 years ago. Since then I've crocheted well over a 100 afghans (probably closer to 200 with neither one to call my own), and have knit and crocheted no one knows how many sweaters, toys and other projects. Then toss in there cross-stitch and sewing - I've done a lot. Right now I can only crochet because I'm losing the feeling and functionality of my right hand, so I can no longer feel a sewing needle and don't have the fine motor controls I need for knitting and sewing. Oh, guess which hand is my dominant? :-( I guess it's sort of a fair trade - medication side affect or MS relapses.
