Today isn't a great day or even significant enough to be recognized but it is my pre-start day. This is my prep week to get me ready and motivated to do this...this task of losing 76 lbs. I have it broken down into smaller goals. Milestones to keep me on track and moving forward.

WEEK ONE: My first goal is to eat less than 1500 cal. a day.
WEEK TWO: My second goal is to work out 5 days a week

Every week my goal is to lose 2 lbs. I figure losing 76 lbs. will take 38 weeks/9.5 months, I have it broken down into 42 weeks (starting today) listed below.

WEEK THREE: Focus on losing ONLY 10% of my body weight. 20.6 lbs. seems less intimidating than 76 lbs. and is quicker to achieve the "I DID IT" adrenaline boost needed to keep going.

WEEK THIRTEEN: Reduce my caloric intake to 1200 cal. At 185 lbs. my body will no longer require a higher calorie intake and to maintain my weigh loss I will need to reduce my calories. I am now focused on my next 10% body weight reduction. 18.5 lbs. in 9 weeks.

WEEK TWENTY TWO: 10% goal is 16.69 lbs. in 8 weeks
WEEK THIRTY ONE: 10% goal is 15.02 lbs. in 8 weeks
WEEK THIRTY NINE: 10% goal is 5.15 lbs. in 6 weeks

I am well aware of all the ways this "can't work" or even set me up failure, but this feels right for me. This is a plan that allows me to see a light at then end of a long...long...long...long....(you get the point) tunnel.

Well...I am off so I can create my weeks meal plan and go shopping.
