chantellewebber1's Journal, 30 Oct 15

It's been a while since my last journal entry - and my food diet entries.

It's been a hectic 2 weeks with examinations and weekend sporting events. I'm at a stage of being mentally and physically exhausted but pushing on.

I was comparing my measurements from the 12 week challenge that I participated in at the beginning of the year, and my measurements taken a week ago - at least I've managed to return to that size and weight.

First examinations that I have not had a jelly bean binge. Super proud of myself. But seem to have found comfort in Pineapple pieces and lemon flavoured tea <<-- possibly my new exam time addiction - who knows. The scale has been very kind to me with this new approach, so clearly something is working.

Yeah! on the extension of our 8 week challenge to a 12 week challenge, and I've signed up to an 8 week Ab Challenge as well which is a nice one to use as part of the final 4 weeks of the now 12 week challenge.

On the sporting side, I have 2 swimming events happening in November which are seeding events to Midmar and 1 triathlon left. At least with swimming being my stronger discipline, it will be a race that will at least leave me satisfied, considering my last 2 triathlon events have been shocking.

Next week I will be back full force in the gym. This week my body did not want to function properly.

You can do this!!! Well done on no Jelly Beans. I am staring at a Ginger Bread man right now, and have cake and donuts waiting for me.... But I am resisting. When you say "at least I've managed to return to that size and weight", surely you are smaller than that now?

Would you believe that my waist is wider now than when we finished that other 12 week challenge. Waist is "bigger" by 3cm and my thigh by 2.5cm. Hope to pull off maybe another 2-3kg by end of this challenge - possibly a few more centimetres around the lower body and I will be set. Then will maintain until the new year for all my new sporting ventures.

That is unbelievable! Zen I were just saying how tiny you have gotten! Your legs are looking amazing - even your "problem area" is not so much of a problem now. You look good.

**blushes** I've had quite a few of those compliments this week of people saying to me I look smaller. I've never had that. I definitely believe that changing my perspective from losing weight to improving my fitness performance as my goal. I've always wanted to lose weight, but haven't had the right motivation. Now with my love for my sport, the drive to lose my bouncing ass for my running is motivation enough to want to lose weight and keep it off and actually understand WHY I need to keep it off. It's a mindset change. Took me a while to understand that concept.
