Congratulations Shrinking Guy, that's a huge accomplishment! Keep up the great work! I would love to know what u r doing from diet /exercise if you don't mind sharing. I'm starting to try a vegetarian diet plus eggs, yogurt & cheese. Could there be a better option? Been researching a lot on RAW way of life, I'm definitely interested!!!

Nothing magical, i just started with simple portion control and trying to listen to my body. At least for me, I wasn't eating because I was hungry, so I tried to always stop and actually decide if I was hungry. Next I started trying to get away from processed foods. This was the hardest, but also has had the greatest effect. The biggest way I implemented this was to replace all snacks with only fresh fruit and vegetables. This has allowed me to stay away from stuff I should stay away from, with out ever being hungry, because I stay full on fruit and vegetables. In fact some days I have to almost force myself to hit my protein input for the day, because I'm too full on low cal/high fiber foods. Volume wise I'm eating more now than ever, it's just better stuff. Which has made this something I can live with, because I refuse to deprive my self or go around hungry. I believe that is the real secret, make choices that you can live with! This is about changing your life, not a diet. Find what works for you, that you can sustain for the rest of your life. The best thing I can suggest is to not be too hard on your self. This isn't about one snack, one meal, one week, one month...... This is about the rest of your life. One decision at a time, and don't worry about what is in the past. Say you just ate half of a birthday cake, what are you going to do about it? There is nothing you can do about it, so move on. Just try to make better choices in the future. Make more good choices than bad, and you will get to where you want to be.

Oh.... I didn't address exercise, I'm just walking, as far and fast as I can in an hour a day. I'm up to a little over 4 miles, and I no longer have to stop. Gotta start somewhere right? When I started walking at nearly 400 pounds, I couldn't make a mile. Now I'm actually trying to get to a jogging pace, damn it hurts! I walk on a 1/6 mile track, and I tried to jog about 50 yards out of every lap the other day. I couldn't hardly walk the next day. I will get there though! I'm just not working on trying to build mucesle, while trying for fairly aggressive weight loss. Just looking to increase heart/lung/stamina, and burn a calorie or two.

Great Job.. Rememeber..slow and easy wins the race. My only advice is to drink plenty of water. A hydrated body is a happy body. Keep going and good luck.
