Windy Day's Journal, 06 Apr 24

Happy Saturday FS peepers. I'm working on mental clarity and peace of mind this weekend. Going out into the sun and getting some exercise. Been a busy week, today I just want to take the day as it comes, no time restraints, no rushing, no obligations. Feeling pretty good here just present in the moment. Hope everyone is doing what they love and loving what they do. Enjoy your weekend!

We just came in from being in the sun. My favorite thing to do. Be outside.

Windy, I did a little gardening in our sunshine today. Took my friend "Wheeler" up to the higher yards and checked out the flora that I haven't really seen up close since last Fall. Little wild violets, purple ones and white ones trying to hold their own against the periwinkle. Wheeler is my 'farm tool-cum-tractor. A wheeled walker with a storage area under the seat. I keep all my hand gardening tools in it, so I just dug up the violets that were the most taken over by periwinkle, sorted the roots and removed any other little plant upstarts from the clump and gave them a new home in the edge of my tomato garden area in a raised bed...even brought along a couple of their kindred earthworms--of which you just can't have too many. It was exhausting because the soft, loamy soil is mined everywhere by moles and chipmunks and my wheels needed lots of hoisting. But it sure was worth it to get outside! Real exercise versus housework. ;-).

Sounds like a perfect day, gopher. Violets are so pretty, we have big clumps of them on our property too. Never thought of transplanting them. We also have moles, and the yard is soft from their tunneling everywhere. Tried growing sweet potatoes one year - ha! They thanked me very much, LOL. Nothing like puttering around outside when its warm and sunny.

20 minutes of sun each day... best medicine!

The weather is great here in Los Angeles and I am so enjoying it, before it gets hot.
