Windy Day's Journal, 08 Mar 24

G'mornin' everyone. Was MIA for the most part yesterday. Wasn't home for the most part and caved in and had pizza! Busy day. Successful Dr visit. He was pleased with my weight loss so far and my blood pressure was the lowest Ive seen it in years. 142/85. Not too shabby for no BP meds whatsoever. Doing bloodwork Monday after fast. I expect Dit D and possibly Iron levels to be low, they usually are. Hoping blood sugar level will be good... We'll see. Rain and chilly again today and tomorrow. We're in that pattern again where it rains every single weekend. Oh well. Weekday sun is good too. So I'll chill for the weekend and get out there during the week. Hope everyone has a fabulous FriYay and weekend doing something fun!

We are in the same weather pattern. Great on the good check-up! I love pizza and share a medium thin crust meat pizza once a week often.

Oh good, get out and enjoy it while you can Erin! Snow, omg. We're not out of the woods yet either. Typically our largest snowstorms come in Feb or March. Hope you dont get any!!

It's great that you are lowering your BP! Do you know why you are low in Vitamin D? Are you ever low in Vitamin B as well? For me they go hand in hand and are directly tied to my low thyroid.

Stormsgirl, He hasnt mentioned a deciency of B, or why I am deficient in D, but I take a B complex daily anyway. Ive been anemic off and on most of my life starting as a teenager. No one has ever said why. I go in Monday morning for fasting blood work. We'll see what the outcome is. Interesting you mention your low thyroid. I wonder, hmm. I will ask. Do you take thyroid medication? I wouldnt be surprised if I have low thyroid.

You addressed this to Storms but based on comments I think you mean me💜💜 Anyway, I have had Hashimotos ( auto immune thyroid disease) since the 90s. I take synthroid daily but also try to adjust my diet to avoid foods not good for thyroid. I typically have low Vitamin D and most B Vitamins will be low as well. I do take supplements for that but seem to still have issues once in awhile. 🩷

Oh my, my goof. Sorry Diana, idk why I mix the two of you up! Ive heard of Hashimotos. I have wondered in past if I might have a thyroid issue bc its so hard to drop weight this time. I'm going to mention it to him when I have my follow up in June.

Also, glad to know your medication is keeping it under control for the most part, Diana.

I also have Hashimotos disease. Finally got into remission with zero antibodies on my last test. 2 years eating whole non-processed food and taking vitamin D and Selenium. There is hope with proper diet and supplements.
