I got annoyed yesterday & that led to me saying....screw it, I'm going to eat this high calorie cookie! I disassembled the big tree & boxed it up, cleaned & mopped the dining room floor, put plants back in front of the window, cleaned & mopped the master bath floor. I was planning to sit down with a cup of hot cocoa & relax for a few minutes. Our coffee maker is a duo that makes a pot or single cup. I popped a hot cocoa pod in & it wouldn't work. I messed with it , to no avail....still wouldn't work. Meanwhile, Teddy woke up from his nap & needed to go out. When I finally got the hot cocoa made (by dumping the cocoa in a cup & adding hot water & almond milk) I chose the highest cal cookie in the pantry to have with it🙄 Then a little later, I decided to have a bowl of Pita chips, too. And half of Hubby's apple.....

Sanity returned by dinner time. I "grilled" our New York Strips on our indoor panini grill. I made mushrooms & green beans as sides, in spite of Hubby rambling thru other choices....like potatoes. He had insisted on buying a pound & a half of steak. In the end, we both ate about 2/3 of our steaks & saved the rest.

Hubby fooled around with the coffee maker & couldn't get the single side to work either. Looks like we may be buying a new coffee maker.

That's nothing in the scheme of things. Our oven isn't working properly either. It heats up, but I don't think the broiler is working. Food will cook, but doesn't brown at all. I use the oven a lot to cook. I started looking at stoves online & they are not cheap! I don't remember how long we've had the stove, but I know it's been awhile.

Teddy had his yearly Vet exam this week. He has a heart murmur (just discovered) so they put him on 2 new meds to help. He also had elevated pancreas enzymes. He has been having an upset tummy since he went to the vet, so we think the meds are aggravating his already fragile tummy. He is 14 years old & is getting to be a little, old man.

My sis wants to have lunch tomorrow, since she's off work for MLK day. I usually go to the Gym on Monday, but I already need to change my schedule for a Wed. doctor appt. Thinking I may do Tues., Thurs., Sat. instead of Mon., Wed., Friday. Hubby has some appts. this week, too, so I need to run it all by him.

I was surprised that my protein came in under 80, yesterday when I ate a big steak. I bought some Kodiak protein pancake mix, so I think we're having pancakes for breakfast.
