59Carol's Journal, 06 Jan 24

I am so relieved to be into the 'one hundreds'! Not much, but in! I lost 2.2 pounds since last week which is a solid good step in the right direction. Now to get out of the 190s.

I did average 60 calories daily above what I see as optimal. The good news is I averaged 80 calories less per day from last week. Always relative, eh? I was in town for only one day which makes a big difference. My evening eating was what consistently increased my calories so it bears greater scrutiny. Yesterday I went through my eating plan and circled the high calorie choices. I made sure I weighed those ones. (nuts, butter, yogurt, etc.) I think that made a significant difference since it is easy to estimate amounts high especially when I am motivated to do so! (motivated to eat more but not 'count' the extra calories)

Next week is going to be very busy with lots of town time. We are meeting with three county's councilors and three town councils. They are in a 60 mile radius of each other so lots of driving. These take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We are asking for financial help for the Women's Shelter's mold issue. Then late next week the plumber can come look at my father in law's plumbing and heating. I believe I have some significant problems with both systems. Fortunately I know this plumber and trust him to do an excellent job and to not gouge me on the bill!
