Working on things. Hubs left at 4am to go to orientation for a new job. I am concerned his schedule and when I will get to see him. I will miss him. We had a nice evening. Curious if he'll be home tonight or sent to the job directly. I'm sad to see him leave for a distant job once again. I didn't marry my husband to live alone but alas. It is depressing. But I am planning to spend my alone time exercising more and getting the flab off.

UPDATE:

Orientation was short. Job begins after Christmas. Still no word of scheduling / time off or where the heck the jobsite is. Hubs was kind of unsure what to think as am I. Or why they're have him drive 4 hours to talk to him with such little detail.

Him being gone sucks there's no way around it! But sometimes the distance makes us appreciate each other even more when we are together. Keep being strong it will reward you down the road. I like your mindset though. To use the time alone to continue to work on yourself. Just remember none of this is permanent. Life is going to take you in a million different directions. Just make the best of it!

@Joe Not Exotic Thanks, it was not a good adjustment when he told me Friday. We had an argument Saturday. Patched things up Sunday. In the nearly 3 years of marriage he has had several jobs. And each time he gets a local job it goes wrong. It is a shame but not I am thinking most of his jobs don't last too long. For whatever reason sometimes on his end or others.

It is hard! I have dealt with this my entire life and it never gets easier. I keep busy with work, friends, my kids, grandkids so that the time goes fast. I have shows that I watch that he doesn't like so I binge watch those. I do have a question- I don't remember if I asked before but when you got married was he home all the time and then it changed. I know that was my case and I had a hard time with adjusting to it.

@Redporchlady He took a job driving right before we started dating. He got off the road 4 months after we married. Then off and on ever since. The new gig is in the oil field being a coordinator so he will be overall watching workers. I am still unsure of it and how life will look. Best as I can tell he will be on-site 4-12 weeks then home a month. Not sure if I'm prepared for it yet.
