I knew it was too good to be true, deep down, when I woke up to a ridiculous weight loss yesterday. Almost 2 kgs! I was thirsty, and felt a little out of balance. But of course, I took the bait and was all excited. Today, I see that I did NOT lose all that. I did, however lose a little, and much more reasonable amount. So today, I "gained" 1.5 kgs back, and can register 98.8 kgs - which is really not bad either.
I am, however, frustrated that my weight is still really not coming down. I will go as always until this coming Saturday, and then - if nothing has changed significantly - try out a spike day to see if that helps, and then lower my calorie intake with another 100 cals afterwards. Hopefully this will not be necessary, but if it is, hopefully the spike day will kick things into gear.
I read a lot about the spike diet on here, but I really have trouble introducing "cheating" into my diet. I would much prefer to NOT let go of the reigns.
Life is good!
98.8 kg Lost so far: 56.2 kg.    Still to go: 13.8 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

wow. what a long journey you have been on. you should be very proud of yourself! i hope i have the drive and commitment that you do to keep at this as you have done. It is people like you that inspire me and keep me going when i want to give up. I wish you well and send you best wishes. I know you are going to accomplish all the goals you have set for yourself. Losing weight is a long weary road but its also an exciting one! I know you must be so amazed every time you look at your weight history and see how far you've come.

Thanks, Stacy. You're absolutely right. I can't stop checking myself out in store windows etc. :) I will definitely see this through until I am REALLY done, I have made it so far already, there is no need to stop. Right now I just seem to be at an involuntary hault, and have been for a few weeks. I don't htink I want to call "Plateau" just yet - I am trying to snap out of it. I have given myself until Saturday for something to start moving, if not I will re-think my strategies. I am looking at the spike diet as a source of inspiration, but I have some trouble getting myself to "cheat" on such a regular basis. :)
