I was home with mom so there’s no surprise. I mean, homemade bread was always available.

I hit a milestone last night/this morning. I have been weening myself off of decongest spray over the last month or so, and last night was the first time in over 30 years I intentionally went to bed without spraying. And I could breathe this morning. Happy Wednesday my friends. 💜

It absolutely is. I’m working with a specialist who gave me a prescription for a liquid steroid that I use twice daily with a saline flush of my sinuses. I’m not quite halfway through but can breathe like a normal person now. But the moment I start to get any type of congestion, I automatically reach for the spray. I had the bottles distributed in strategic places throughout the house (and work, car and purse) so that it was always close. I’ve gathered them up and dropped them in a drawer so the temptation is no longer there. I haven’t gotten to the point of throwing everything out yet though. The thought of that makes me anxious. But I will get there. Now if I start to get stuffed up, I grab a bottle of compressed saline solution and use that. And it works. The first part of stopping the spray use is repairing the damage to the sinuses. And that takes medical intervention.
