Windy Day's Journal, 05 Nov 23

The pounds used to melt off me in my 20a, 30s, 40s.. now at 61 it has become a real battle to move those pounds. But I am in good health, have actually improved muscle tone over the years, and very few grays for my age! (Wrinkles setting in tho, ugh!) Really want to shed 4.5 lbs by Christmas. But if I fall short, I fall short. I'll just have it gone by New Year's! And for NYE I DO plan on celebrating (at home) with my homemade Sangria!! It is SOO good!

(Excited for the holidays, can ya tell? Lol) Hope everyone has a blessed and restful rest of the weekend.

Sure is hard to lose as we get older!

It sure as heck is, Morticia! It seems to be a pattern for me. Lose a couple, gain it back. Get back to lowest, lose a couple more...repeat. I effectively lose every pound TWICE!

Yes I'm feeling it too at 48. Not as easy as it used to be. Good job getting to 150s! That would be my first goal and minimum so hoping to get there. You definitely look a lot younger!

You will get there, Teresa! You are doing great! Lol, I wish I looked as good as pics. The right lighting takes years off. But thank you!

😂 Well there is a reason my pic is black and white. 😂 Thanks for the encouragement! It's been a 6 year struggle so I'm trying to believe it's not impossible with my health issues (PCOS mostly), it's just not as quick as in the past. My body constantly fights the weightloss and I get stuck for a few weeks at a time often. But I've lost -35 lbs since May 30th so I'm trying to focus on the big picture... Even if I don't get there on my timeline... You are very inspiring!

Well you're doing great! It has taken me nearly a whole year to lose 34 lbs! So don't be too hard on yourself. You'll get to your goal, and before you know it. 💪❤️I've finally gotten accustomed to the rhythm that my body lets go of the weight. It's not my ideal, but as long as it steadily keeps dropping, I'm ok with it. If I can drop 4.5 lbs by Christmas I'll be thrilled! 🤗💪

Thanks for the encouragement Windy. You have a great perspective on things. I'm sure with how gray you eat that you will make my goal. I do have a second goal of i don't make my main one as really, any smaller than I am (and already smaller than last year) will be a bonus. I want to look better in all these holiday photos and decent enough for our Christmas card!

Oh what a compliment, Margatyna! Thank you! Young at heart :)

Yes I would have guessed Windy to be in her 30s! I was surprised when she said her age. I bet you are a cool grandma. Honesty I also don't feel any older mentally than I did in my late 20s. Age is definitely just a number. And all the neighborhood women I hang out with range from 28 yrs to 37 yrs old so I don't feel/look my age either at 48. 😂 Although unfortunately my body is starting to act older with this weightloss battle!

Oh wow, Theresa, that is very kind! I am the same as you, still feel as young as I always did in my 20s/30s. Age is absolutely a number. We're doing pretty well aren't we?! The weight loss is more of a struggle, but I feel pretty well otherwise. And I think we'll feel younger as we gain strength, health and confidence again! Can't wait!
