Feeling comfortable enough to start increasing calories to maintenance is hard! It’s psychological though, so will work to tackle it slowly over the next few weeks. Instead, scaled back on cardio slightly to start…still swimming 6 days a week, but for an hour instead of 1:15 and 1:30 - feels sustainable and allows me to squeeze it into 5 days if something comes up. Feeling great to be in the range I am 😊

LOSS TO DATE: 228.4 lbs

MOMENT OF GRATITUDE: My company asked me to be on a panel for Wellness Month called “Healthy Bodies” to talk about my journey and it reminded me that at one point, I was using a cane. Not sure how I’d forgotten that fact! And such a contradiction to a woman telling me today that I was a fast walker.

one day, I took will be at the place you are at. it's hard when you are a Hare Krishna tough, since sacred sweets like cake, cookies and fried food are in easy reach. and I live on top of a convenient store. good job, nd let's beat the statistic!

Madri1, that would be very difficult I’m sure! People have so many obstacles in the way…I found the past couple of years have tested how badly I want this healthier life and the answer is consistently “more than anything!” Best of luck!!

Margatyna, been 1200 - 1300 for awhile (doc guided, I’m 5’0 and was quite sedentary). Now have to start adding back about 50 calories/day every few weeks or so to slow loss and see where I stabilize. I know I’m not adding back unhealthy food, it’s just that I’ve been used to this for so long!
