This week has been a little busier. We went to the Gym Tues. & Thurs. instead of our usual Mon. / Friday schedule. The plan is to go tomorrow to get in our 3rd day.

Wednesday night I went to Book Club. We discussed the book & then solved all the problems in the world 😉 That was fit around eating some yummy appetizers....a cream cheese & fruity spread with crackers & Cowboy caviar with chips. Of course there was wine. Our main course was Gumbo filled with crab, shrimp & spicy sausage. There was a regular green salad & broccoli salad as well as corn bread & crusty French Bread. Dessert was Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream pie & fresh fruit. I ate reasonable portions, but I admit I did go back for 2nds of the Gumbo. I should have just filled my bowl to start.

Today, I met my sister for lunch at O'Charly's. I had a Patty Melt & fries. I only ate half of the fries & left a portion of the bread on the Patty Melt. My sister will be 65 in January & she's seriously considering retiring next year...maybe in March. She likes her job, but I think is just getting a bit worn down by it all. She works for a bank on the administrative side. Her husband died suddenly a few years ago & she says she wants to be sure she gets to enjoy several years of retirement. She may decide to do something part time but will be fine financially either way. The plus for me is she'll be available for us to get into mischief more 😊 Just kidding!

After lunch I did a little shopping. Bought some new Fall decor @ Hobby Lobby.

I also renewed my driver's license. I was in & out pretty fast...about 10 minutes. Got a new photo & it looks pretty good.

Next weekend, our other 2 sisters are coming up & we're going to our first Fall festival. I'm going to spend the night at her place Friday & Saturday.
