Back to morning weigh ins ☆ Up 3.2 lbs. after 10 days of vacation. No logging, eat (and drink) what I like & sadly no working out. I'm not mad at this. I do feel a little fluffy around the middle, but all my clothes still fit til the end of the trip. Back to logging, weighing in & our normal WOE today.

The trip was great fun! We went to a 2nd Winery & sat on the patio, sipping a glass of wine, overlooking a beautiful view back to the lake on one side & the vineyards on the other.

We stayed with one niece & her husband for a couple of nights, then our 2nd niece & her husband the last 3 nights. The 2 couples did sleepovers so we could all be together some nights.

The Tedeschi Trucks concert was fabulous! The whole band is so good. I was disappointed they didn't do my favorite song, though 😕 We had a bit of an adventure trying to park before the concert. There was a racing event on the weekend & roads were blocked. We drove around for an hour in crazy traffic, finally getting a spot in an almost empty lot fairly close. There were bicyclists weaving in & out that obviously had a death wish 😮

We ate a variety of meals....steak, salads, pizza, pork cutlets, sausage dogs (including 1 from a street vendor outside the concert...YUM), Chinese. One resteraunt meal was so huge! I ordered Salmon with crabmeat in a cream sauce over rice pilaf. It came with a salad AND half a plate of veggies, including asparagus. I ate about 2/3 and couldn't eat any more. Overall, I think I did fine managing meals. I really can't overeat, cause I get full. Some were resteraunt meals & some home cooked.

We did have multiple desserts....brownies, cupcakes, bread pudding with ice cream to celebrate Hubby's Birthday. We had an ice cream cone after the concert from a sidewalk vendor walking back to our car.

Breakfast was our usual fresh fruit but I strayed & had a carrot muffin one morning & a WHOLE bagel another. I never eat a whole one.

I learned that sitting a plate of cheese or a bowl of cheese puffs or chips next to me is not a good idea 😐 Pretty much no self control. Good thing I always measure out a serving of snacks at home. After all this time I still can get tempted.

Lots of wine was consumed & a couple of Ceasars (Canadian version of a Bloody Mary).

The nice thing was we had lots of time to just sit & talk. Hubby told some stories of his childhood @ the request of our nieces. We played a "game" where we went in a circle & each chose a favorite song for Alexa to play. Old....new...different genres...loved it! We got to sit in the Hot Tub a few times & Hubby got a short nap in a hammock 😊🍷👙🎶🎵

I had thought we'd get back to the Gym today, but after 2 days in the car...Monday, a really long 14 hours...we're taking a rest day. After being away from the dogs, we're acclimating them back to a routine. I have laundry & some yard work, so will be doing that.

We'll get back to our routine on Friday 😁

I am so glad you had this lovely trip to enjoy and make beautiful memories! It sounds like you made the most of every opportunity and still made responsible choices. When faced with special food and drink, I most often use it as an excuse to indulge beyond full... you have beautiful discipline! I love to read your journals, Sherry! You are a fantastic example of where I want to be. Have a good rest of your week acclimating back to "normal" life! ❤️

Thank you Melissa ❤️ It was so nice to spend time with our Canadian family. They did a lot to make this a special & memorable Birthday celebration for Hubby. He is the last of his siblings & we have lost 2 nephews & a niece as well. It's wonderful to be part of a family that appreciates having each other.

And Melissa, you are a shining example of giving to family....both genetic & adopted 😊 You're doing better than you think. At least you're maintaining reasonably & not regaining all of the weight you lost.
