LTHOMP56's Journal, 02 Jun 23

Really thought I had gained a little so I guess I've got to try harder. I never thought I would ever be saying those words. My whole life has been dieting or thinking about dieting . I haven't weighed so low since elementary school. I stuck around 130 in high school which at 4'8" was still alot . I've been over 200 but mostly around 185 and 56 inches around when I wasn't dieting. I've been on so many diets and loss alot of weight but went back to reg eating and gained it all back. I've finally made healthy changes that are my normal now and I'm scared to moderately eat the sweets I loved so much or to not count every calorie because I'm scared I'll lose control and go back to old habits. Yes I am worried and not really sure what the answer is but I'm going to try and get pass it and add the extra calories because I can't keep losing. I'm sorry for such a long post but I just need words of encouragement and if you've been where I am now I would like to know how you overcame your anxiety and got things under control.

Would you consider basing decisions on data from a trusted source? Meaning, instead of deciding how many calories to eat on your own, take a look at a website you trust to tell you what is appropriate based on your information, and eat that.

Also, maybe there are other reasons you control food? Reasons 'under' the control aspect? 🧡 Sent with love.

You did great. Stay with healthy foods!!! I understand your situation, I've also lost too much and now working on putting some back. If you want to put on some healthy pounds, consider adding protein suppliments. I like Level-1 Milk Chocolate. Or protein shakes. You want to gain muscle and not gain all fat. Increase your portion sizes of the healthy food that you have already been eating. Keep up the healthy lifestyle!!!

One thing that helped me was to stop weighing frequently and counting every calorie. Counseling helped immensely too. Good luck to you! I’ve been there and it’s hard, but your health is more important than the number on the scale…
