Saw my Cardiologist for a checkup today. Everything is status quo....just as it's been. He commented & praised me, I'd lost a few lbs. since my visit 6 months ago, even though my weight is slightly up after my get-away. I weighed 138 @ the office, fully clothed & after eating breakfast. We talked about working out at the Gym. He & his son set up a Gym at home. We compared tendinitis issues in our arms. He said he'd been building muscle but hadn't worked off the belly fat (He is a little pudgy 😊). Of course, I said "That's all diet"! Funny, I'm giving my Doctor health advice 😁 I've been seeing him for 17 years, after an AFib incident.

The freezer was bare, so I stopped at Kroger. With rising prices, I tried to find healthy choices that wouldn't blow the budget. Every time we run into the store for just a few things, it seems to be $50 or more. I bought fresh fruit (strawberries, mango, blueberries & black berries), veggies ( zucchini, broccoli, baby red potatoes, cherry tomatoes, onion, green beans), chicken tenderloins, Angus ground beef, turkey sausage, flat iron steak, trout. I also used my coupons for a frozen pizza & a PF Changs frozen meal, coffee, feta cheese & bagels. I made it out with a bill for $128....not bad for what I got. I did save $40 in coupons & sale prices.

Ran into the Library to pick up 2 books I'd reserved...one for Book Club.

Gym day tomorrow.

I have some yard work I need to get at. The weedy grass is going crazy in the front garden. I need to spray the Grass B Gone on some of it & pull some out. It does better if the temps are warmer & it keeps getting colder at night every few days. I also need to do it when it's not supposed to rain for a few days.

Well, need to get up to bed 😴
