It was just brought to my attention some challenges. I grew up in Hampton NB, actually outside the "Village" itself. I had no access to a gym and my parents refused to buy me a weight set, though Dad did insist on landscaping jobs around the home, chores as they were. So, at age 14, a classmate beat me in an arm wrestle. I had at that point been stronger than most guys my age, so this was unacceptable. I started doing body weight exercises at home religiously for the next 8 months. At that age things can happen fast, and I was in really good shape. That combined with biking, skateboarding, speed skating, figure skating and ridiculous amounts of walking put me in the best shape of my life. Many have been at this point in our youth, that peak time. Wish I had stayed the course (or played hockey 😞) I really enjoyed challenging myself physically, and was amazed at what could be accomplished without a gym. if you don't live in a city, what do you do to be active? How do you accomplish strength training?

I live in Toronto with lots of gyms and yet I chosen to work out at home. Simply because I get the creeps easily by people stairring. I do 2 30 min exercise sessions a day most days ..... you can still get back to what you used to be you just have to physically challenge your self if that's where you want to be.

I’ve got a good assortment of training plans I’ve gathered over time to reference. Aside from that I’ve done pretty well building a home gym from gear I’ve found on marketplace. For about $500 all together, I’ve got a barbell, ez curl bar, squat rack, spin bike, and 505 Lbs of weight plates. If you keep an eye out and aren’t in a hurry, you can find some good deals…Assuming you have the space to put it, of course.
