Windy Day's Journal, 11 Mar 23

Going out with my daughter, son and little granddaughters today. Taking the kids to the park so should get in some much needed exercise step-wise. But son is taking us all out for supper afterwards so I will have to be careful calorie-wise!

Went from warm spring temps back to freezing temp overnight, and expecting several freeze possibility nights this week. Daughter made us a good size cold frame so her little seedlings are ok. Everything budded and blossomed early this year, so hoping fruit trees/bushes don't freeze. We just bought two big blueberry bushes which we put on the porch til temps warm up again.

I've got my shawl Im working on, a painting project I started yesterday, and in the middle of reading two books. Not to mention the backlog of projects I have yelling at me from the back of my head to get started on. There aren't hours enough in the day.

Had a big breakfast so think I'll go real light on lunch to make up for tonight.

Let's keep busy, not worry/stress. Stress puts on weight.

I hope you had a wonderful day with your family today. We have been inundated with more snow and are feeding the birds that came back too early. More snow is in the forecast next week. It will be while before we see flowers growing. We both had a great week at weigh in. Let's keep it going.

Oh that doesnt sound fun. I am native New Englander but cant handle the ice and snow like I used to. Hope it warms up for you soon. Well I had a very nice time with the family and got a mile in at the track. Dinner was lovely but at an expense -I gained back a pound and still have heartburn this morning as a result. Next dinner out I will order salad only. Got to stop this lose/gain trend. Ready to start the new week. Committed to make it right. I can do it.

I will probably have a gain tomorrow with the week end I've had. If we can get one good day in than the second one is easier. We can do it.

I had a pretty good day today, but this heartburn has helped in keeping me on track. I agree, usually one good day leads to another. We CAN do it.

I am helping my sister move and talk about stress. I have been in the same house for over 40 years and she has been in my deceased parents house for 55 years. We don't know anything about moving. And she wants to keep everything. It's going to make the move to a senior apartment very difficult. Pray for us.

I sure will, glamper. You're right, that is a very long time in one home. Familiar things comfort us. It will be hard. I'll be praying though that God will turn the change into something positive for your sister and peace/strength for you too. Life is hard sometimes. Well, a lot of the time. But He always sees us through.

Another day helping my sister pack and I am beat. Tomorrow it's back to more packing and I hope we can get a whole lot more done. My diet is out the window as fast food is all we are eating. I will get back to dieting after the move.

Moving is a big job, don't overdo it. Take breaks and keep hydrated. Don't worry about the diet right now, its too much. Hope everyone is in good spirits in what is typically stressful situation. Take care of yourself too. Hopefully the move will go smoothly.
