Windy Day's Journal, 25 Feb 23

My body clutches on to this weight like Linus his security blanket..

Today mark's my 3rd month dieting and here at FS. Total loss: 11 lbs. In my younger days I would have lost at least twice this much and sometimes more in this time frame. But apparently at almost 61 this is how my body rolls now (haha). At this point I realize Im never going to reach my goals without daily exercise. Which has always been harder for me to begin than to keep going.

I am going to have to stop making excuses and begin 15 mins/day inside until this rainy pattern permits me to get to the track on a regular basis.
81.2 kg Lost so far: 5.0 kg.    Still to go: 17.7 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I know what you mean. At a younger age I lost 9 pounds the first week, 7 pounds the next, 4 pounds the next, 2 the next and one the next for a total of 22 pounds in one month. Those were the days. We can do it but it just takes longer. It's snowing again today, big white fluffy flakes. We have 4 bird feeders and a suet box and we have lots of birds coming to eat. My weight is down a teeny bit but I have gained this month. I need to exercise for 15 minutes a day. If you will I will. We can do it.

Apparently I can't count because that was 23 not 22. Now I am lucky to lose 3 pounds a month and keep it off.

It's rather discouraging but you're right, we can do it, we just have to get used to the fact that it's not going to melt off as in our younger days. So, yes, I will do it if you will. 15 minutes a day. Nothing too crazy strenuous, just movement, walking or stretching whatever works for us. 15 mins each day. We can do it. Let's start today.
