SherryeB's Journal, 17 Feb 23

I had a follow-up appt. with my orthopedics Dr. today. He ordered exrays of my neck since my arm/ shoulder pain has improved but is not gone. Apparently the arthritis he found in my neck can contribute to pain in my arms. For now, I'm continuing with physical therapy. If the pain isn't relieved or gets worse again the next step would be an MRI. Possibly injections. My therapist says the goal is to strengthen my back & arm muscles so that I can work out without pain.

Hubby took our Lucy to the Vet once again this afternoon. She has had infection & is dealing with allergies causing issues with her eyes/ ears. New antibiotic & more eye drops. Hubby was concerned when she wasn't enthusiastically finishing her breakfast for a few days. She always eat, so it could be cause for concern. She's eaten dinner with no issues & is always up for treats.

With the appointments today, we didn't end up going to the Gym. We're planning to go tomorrow, instead.

After my appt. I went to the Library & Walmart. We needed to replenish our fruit selection.

At home I did laundry...folded & put away yesterday's & washed another load. I gave the Master bath a good cleaning & vacuumed downstairs.

Then I settled down with a snack to watch more Pretty Little Liars. I'm so hooked on this series!

I gave Hubby a choice of meatloaf, chicken thighs or porkchops for dinner. He chose meatloaf & it was pretty good.

A girlfriend of mine has spinal arthritis, though I don't know if it's rheumatoid or osteoarthritis related. She was a professional ballerina until a car accident, so she's not entirely sure if it's trauma or repetitive motion induced. Either way, she moves as if she's got a big stick up her back, and cannot touch her chin to her chest anymore. Looking side to side is also slow and difficult. She's had it for 25 years now, managed with diet and yoga. So it's good you're staying on top of the doctor appointments, if this arthritis thing is a new development.

JB, I know I have arthritis in some of the joints in my body. It is not debilitating as I still have full range of my body parts. I saw a doctor because I was experiencing pain in my shoulders/arms when I slept at night and moved my arms in certain ways. I'm doing physical therapy to hopefully build up the muscles in my back & arms.
