Oops. I guess the sciatic nerve pain I’ve been having this month is taking its toll on my activity. Oh well, my jeans still fit nicely so there’s that. Happy Wednesday my friends. 💜

Hi @jamaicaboundNL, do you suffer with Piriformis pain? I’d, which is the source of my sciatic nerve pain. Check it out. There are some good exercises for Piriformis pain on Google.

Hi @Maguscanook, I normally don’t have tight periformis or the associated pain as that stretching is part of my workout routine. But thank you very much for the suggestion. Not moving as I used to for the past two months because of a lower back injury certainly has caused many muscles to become tight and to pull. My chiropractor said this morning at the end of our session that my pain is not sciatic but is related to L5 facet joint problems, which is unfortunately structural. I’m no stranger to sciatic pain as I’ve been dealing with it for over 30 years, except for maybe the past 10 years when I finally got to be what I considered to be pain free. This nerve pain doesn’t track down my leg. It’s just severe pain in my back and then in my calf - nothing in between. Which is a different nerve set, apparently. I learned a LOT this morning.😊 I also learned that if I don’t improve in the next two weeks with the help of my other health professionals, there’s X-rays in my future. And we have a terrible health care system so I won’t hold my breath for a speedy process.

My heart goes out to you! My piriformis aches and pains, which has affected the sciatic nerve running down one leg, leg is new to me. I bought the TENS and Muscle Stimulator by SCHIARA on Amazon. It was cheap, and I have received quite a lot of pain relief by using it. I have also been doing exercises. I hope your situation does not worsen or lead to more complicated medical procedures, that’s for sure. Please feel free to reach out anytime to me. Believe me, I understand pain only too well.
