Unexpectedly large week - many weeks it’s a slow crawl, so I’ll take it 😊 Since the last time I dropped weight, society has changed for the better. It’s less acceptable to randomly comment on a person’s weight loss in social settings and while I know it was always meant to be complimentary, it just always reminded of my largeness and the fact that it was so noticeable to others and made me feel exposed. Yesterday at an event, I had a number of “you look terrific”s with no weight comment or “how are you doing it?” and it just felt SO much better. Less expectation ti address or explain my loss, less about my body being on display - it removed so much anxiety and allowed me to just feel good about feeling good. So happy.
130.8 kg Lost so far: 44.1 kg.    Still to go: 72.0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Haha. You’re dead on with these comments. We would never do the same thing with other aspects of outward appearance. “Have you been getting better sleep lately? You usually look so tired and haggard! Good for you!” Happy things are moving in the right direction. So, how have you been doing it? What’s your current game plan?

Congratulations, I remember someone saying to me “have you lost weight?” I said “yes, I lost over 30 pounds”. They came back with “You can really see it in your face!” ….. How big was my F@$&ng head??????

@waltersdd Exactly! And thanks for the well wishes 😊 I don’t think I even realized how much anxiety it induced until I felt the relief that it wasn’t happening lol. For the last 6 months or so, sticking to 1200-1400 calories/day (minimal processed foods or eating out/delivery) and swimming 5x a week has worked well for me.
