Not too bad 😊 All the food was so good at Book Club last night! We started with a big platter of different pate & cheeses with jam & mustard to contribute to the flavors. There were slices of French bread & some crackers to spread them on & a variety of olives & pickles. Our book was set in France so we went with all things French. We also had several wines to taste. I enjoyed nibbling & trying the different combos suggested by our member that contributed the appetizers.

Our hostess provided the main course Beef Bourgogne using Julia Childs recipe. It was soooo good! I made a spinach & ham quiche & there was a shrimp on lettuce boats dish with a sauce. Dessert was Berry Gallette with ice cream. I ate a sensible serving of everything. I was tempted to have seconds of the beef but I was getting full & wanted to have dessert so I was good. My friend commented on being really full & said she had been being "really good" lately. I said that's why we are usually good so we can enjoy nights like this. We also had a great time socializing & talking about the book.

I went to the Gym earlier in the day. My knee was feeling lots better so I did 35 minutes on the Treadmill....not doing over 3 MPH but gradually increasing the incline. If I try to walk too fast it jars my knee. I did stretching/ core exercises including a couple of new ones to help strengthen the muscles for my knee. Weight machines next....lower body then 15 min. on the bike. I cut it short cause I needed to get home to bake the quiche.

Today I did several loads of laundry & watered both the indoor & outdoor plants. I also blew a ton of leaves off the back deck & the drive (we have a big turn around area & a patio area by the house & a long drive up to the road). I blew about 1/3 of the way on the drive to the road.

I also watched this week's episode of Handmaid's Tale. This season is so good. I just hate I can't binge watch it. It's the first season I've watched weekly.

Well...off to bed 🛌 😴
