Up a tad but that's fine.

I haven't updated in a few days. Last week I had a doctor's appt. on Monday & Dentist on Tues. We made it to the Gym Mon. but postponed Wed. cause of a sick doggie. We ended up going Thurs. & Friday.

I have been having some pain in my knees, especially the right one. Friday it was bothering me enough it affected my workout on the weight machines. The pain started radiating down my leg & doing Leg curls was hard because the padded brace pressing against my shin hurt. I loosened it & finished my set. I've been rubbing diclofenac on my knees & I bought some Ibuprofen to help with any inflammation. I had run out & had been using Tylenol if I needed anything.

I thought giving it a rest over the weekend might alleviate the pain but my knees were twinging today so I made the decision to skip walking on the Treadmill & up my time on the stationary bike. That seemed to work for now. I mostly did upper body on the machines other than I did do the leg press.

I'm going to start taking a Tumeric Glucosamine supplement to see if that helps.

I worked out in the yard/ gardens on Sunday. It got into the low 30's overnight last week & some plants needed cutting back. I had moved a bunch of the potted flowers into the garage & sunroom. The temps aren't supposed to be as cold for over a week so I put the plants in the garage back outside. I also tackled a patch of weedy grass that I have neglected. I was worried about snakes when it was hot, so just left it. I pulled a bunch out by hand & some with a rake. I have not been diligent about keeping up outside for the last few months. There's only so much time & I seemed to have other activities....including going to the Gym. A bunch of the ferns had browned so I used the rake to clean up that area of the garden, too. All the yardwork didn't exactly help the plan to rest my knees 😒 But the garden looks better.

I have Book Club Wed. night. Then I'm planning on going to Columbus over the weekend. My son & granddaughter are both celebrating their birthdays on Sunday. The celebration is including a private cooking class cause my granddaughter is into cooking.

The food theme for Book Club is French Cusine so I need to bring something appropriate. I think I've decided on a ham & spinach quiche.

I've been asked to bake a carrot cake for my son's birthday...his favorite.

I got the "1883" series on DVD at the library & we've been watching it. One more episode to go. It's really good.

Well, Teddy is crying for his dinner 🐕 Guess I better go feed the dogs & start our dinner.
