I felt that I needed something novel to jump start me out of the slump I’ve been in lately. I decided to experiment with the carnivore diet as a way to eliminate a lot of the garbage foods I had been consuming and because so many forms of livestock are available in my area from rural vendors and neighbouring farms. Not sure that it’s sustainable for me long term but it’s made for some interesting conversations with friends and I’ve certainly lost weight while gaining muscle. I’ve had plenty of energy, everything tastes fantastic and it hasn’t been too monotonous yet. My vegan friends and I will have to agree to disagree on the merits and ethics of a meat based diet.
