Carb cycled yesterday as a way to regroup and get back to better eating. It works everytime.
58.0 kg Lost so far: 12.3 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

what is carb cycling? I've done low carb before with great success. But I don't want to do all the special prep now as I am elderly. I am staying at our below cal allowance and eating small portions.

Likat, universe, and ginome, Carb cycling is used by body builders but can also be used just to regroup your diet. It is not meant to do long term. You can do a 2 week plan but that's pretty extreme. I was doing it 1-2 xs a week when I first started ( my nutritionist turned me on to it) but I began to lose to much weight as I'm already in maintenance phase. . You can Google it for more info but in general it's a period of very low carbs, moderate fat, and high protein. In general it's also meant to be healthy fats and healthy carbs. I usually try to get over 125 grams of protein, less than 50 grams of carbs, and around 50 grams of fat. Yesterday my numbers were 132 grams of protein, 30 ish grams of carbs, and 50+ grams of grams healthy fats. I've had good success with it but it isn't easy to do.
