Yesterday, I was "challenged" by a lunch date with grandma. I allowed myself a little of the white stuff (bread and potato) but I kept it in moderation. Unfortunatley, I also helped myself to 3 glasses of wine after dinner. It wasn't even good wine.

The past two nights I have really been struggling with after dinner cravings. There is a full gallon of ice cream in the freezer... homemade hawaiian muffins.... confetti cupcakes.... chips & salsa. I've been chugging water to push past it.

New Challenge: going to friend's to "watch" the game tonight... more to just hang out together. It is going to be hard to avoid the booze and food. I'm working on a plan of action.... taking healthy snacks and a low sugar mocktail.

Donate all your ice cream, muffins, cupcakes and other stuff to your friends watching the game tonight. Don't keep that in your home. I did that becouse I can't resist not to eat in the middle of the night.

One trick I've used to combat sweet cravings is to buy a container of frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. You still have to watch portion size with it, but it helps me feel like I'm not missing out. Also "Skinny Cow" puts out some tasty lower calorie alternatives when you want a sweet treat.
