I am clocking in with a 3.8 pound gain. Not what I would have preferred but what happened. In reality I ate well over my calories for 3 days and withing calories for 4 days. In the end I averaged 250 calories per day over my optimum. The weight gain is not a surprise.

The two highest days are not surprising. Last Saturday I went to a Tea Dance aboriginal ceremony that includes a feast or 3. Each of the feasts are ritualistic and so the servings are given to you and no surprise I ate them all. This one culminated at a 9 pm feast that was essential huge portions of meat that were given out by 4 different servers - I figured 1.5 pounds of meat??? Something like that. Earlier there was stew and bannock and earlier still spaghetti and meat sauce. I think I had around 4 suppers. Lots!! Was the experience worth it? Yes! The dancing and chanting and teachings were more than worth it. I am not likely to participate in this ceremony again.

Last Tuesday was an AGM followed by a regular meeting with sandwiches and squares. I tend to eat when tired...and so it happened.

Future planning. Some things I just will be going with the flow. For AGM/meetings I will pack a snack to divert myself from the higher calorie choices. Have some of the choices and then eat my snack if I want more. It is usually mindless eating at that point.

My yard work has begun! The septic trench is dug. Little bit of excitement when the gas line was severed but all is fixed and fine now. Other bits are being done -trees and window wells at this point.
79.4 kg Lost so far: 42.4 kg.    Still to go: 2.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I really appreciate the opportunities to learn first hand about our local Cree culture. I find their culture to be kind and caring toward all beings.

Good for you for your committment to paying attention to your food consumption at your meetings. The AGM sounds like you had a nice time.

Our Women's Shelter Board is a good pleasant working group. I enjoy working with them. Two meetings back to back can be challenging however the group makes it pleasant! Meetings can be crazy around food- easy to just mindlessly eat.
