Fluctuations, but I don't hate it. I weighed in a couple of hours earlier this morning than yesterday. I slept like a rock & woke up after daylight. I didn't get up right away, but earlier than usual.

I'm surprised how easy it has been to keep my calories under my adjusted goal of 1600. I've even eaten a good dinner every night...certainly no deprivation. Tonight was linguini with a tomato sauce & salad with fresh blueberries.

Today, I spent a few hours outside in the gardens. I pulled a bunch of grassy weeds then sprayed weed killer on a portion of the path. Everything got a good dowsing of deer repellant, too. They nibbled on a day lillie & a patch of blackeyed Susans,, so I decided it was time for protection again.

I restrung one of our wind chimes. It's about 30 years old. We bought if for my Mother in law before she died & we've kept it ever since. The wood is obviously old but it still sounds beautiful.

I found 2 baby birds that had died out in the yard today. I'm not sure what happened, but it made me sad. The birdhouse the Nuthatches are nesting in was turned around this morning, facing a different direction. I was concerned at first. Last year, we saw a black snake get into the Wren's birdhouse right after the babies flew away. I saw Mom or Dad Nuthatch in the opening this afternoon, so I was relieved.

Time for a shower....then bed 🛌 😴
