Another gain. I am not thrilled however it is no mystery how this happened. I am definitely fighting my sugar monster - showing up in jam, chocolates, taffy, etc. Basically looking for sugar based foods. I even stopped for a Dairy Queen cone! Yikes!!

At least identifying what I am doing allows me to make a change. I know from past experiences that three sugar free days will break the sugar cycle. Those three days can be tough. But that is what it takes.

This week I did something I never wished to do. I served an eviction notice to a renter. Unfortunate but had to be done. I have been wracking my brain as to what I could have done differently in my vetting process that this wouldn't have happened.

Snow is nearly gone and that is exciting as I have much I want to do outside as soon as it gets a bit warmer. Today the high is supposed to be 8C (45F). Moving upwards.

My family has tried many ways of vetting. Things happen. Our last one decided a shootout with the SWAT team was the way to go. That's an extreme, but it happened.

Magnesium really helps me with sugar cravings! Also low-dose GABA. I take it for panic/anxiety. It’s generally safe, but I always tell people to check with their doctor. It REALLY kills my desire for sugar. Good luck.

May I ask you what diet plan you follow or what you eat but you eat? The reason I ask is that I have a bad sweet tooth but there are so many substitutions that are just just as good if not better for your sweet cravings and still you can lose a lot of weight. If you would like I can let you know what I'm doing and maybe you could look into it and I can give you some pointers but like I said I don't know what know what diet you're following

Tink 1953 My renter has 21 charges - meth, cocaine, illegal fire arms, and breach of probation conditions! I had no idea she had a criminal record! SWAT team trumps mine though!

Monique - I tend to follow a whole food diet with very little meat or dairy. I am not super strict on what I do and don't eat - for example I wouldn't call myself a vegetarian however I mostly eat a vegetarian diet. I am not lactose intolerant but I generally don't eat milk and cheese. I am not willing to go to artificial sweetners. I have had cancer many times - cervical, two bouts of skin cancer and breast cancer. The first three were surgery and done however breast cancer was surgery, chemo and radiation. After putting that amount of poison into my system I am reluctant to add anything artificial. I even avoid margarine as opposed to butter. I have found that low fat foods do not satiate me so I have full fat foods but smaller portions. If I could see sugar as artificial (as it is in many ways!!) I would add it to my aversion and that would benefit me!!

Good luck. It took us a year to get him out the door.

Tink - I am hoping for May 5 which is the date on my eviction notice. May I not have your experience.

If you like ice cream, I definitely do, then try Nick’s Swedish-Style Light Ice Cream. It comes in a pint. I got the Starwbar Swirl. There are a bunch of flavors, though. It tasted just like regular ice cream, but only had 250 calories for the whole pint. So, I get my sugar and ice cream fix without it being a 1000 calories. I think I got mine at Walmart.
