My body has a mind of its own. I ate just over 2000 calories on Wed. and the scale went down. I ate under my 1800 calories Thurs. & Friday and it went up. 🙄

I've been experiencing pain in my lower back and hips the past couple of months. It's not always the same area....jumps around. Night before last after I turned off the light & tried to fall asleep, my hip & down into my leg started aching. I had been dozing off while reading, but now was unable to sleep because of the pain. During the day, it was not bothering me at all. In fact just before going to bed I had finished putting the coverlet & shams I had laundered earlier back on the bed. And we went for a neighborhood walk in the afternoon. Even after I finally got up to take some Tylenol, the pain persisted. I decided to soak in a hot epsom salts bath yesterday afternoon. The pain diminished but didn't go away entirely. Before bed last night, I took some Tylenol PM. I was able to sleep better & the pain has almost gone away.

I have had what I think is arthritic pain for awhile, but it seems to have become worse. I have a check-up with my doctor in a couple of weeks, so I'll discuss it with him then.

After having Spring like weather for a couple of weeks, we're getting a blast of Winter. The high today is only in the 30's & tonight is supposed to be 19 degrees. In spite of the sun shining earlier we had some snow flurries. Nothing sticking though. It's very windy and the lights flickered for a few minutes. Hopefully, we won't have any trees knock down power lines 😒 Hubby got the fireplace all set for a fire, so we'll get to enjoy that. I doubt we'll walk this afternoon. Hubby walked one of the dogs up the drive to our mailbox this morning and turned around. He said it was too cold.

We picked up new hearing aids for Hubby on Wed. He tried some out about 6 years ago and didn't like them. The technology has improved so much since then. He seems pleased so far.

No big plans for the weekend. We did decide to have dinner out on Wednesday, while we were running our errands. We went to Olive Garden. I was trying to decide what to order. The lower calorie choice was a chicken dish with tomatoes....broccoli on the side. I decided it sounded too much like something I could make at home. I ended up choosing Chicken Parmesan. The meal was listed at 1080 calories. We also had salad, breadsticks & wine. So, I ate half of the chicken and pasta and brought half home. Hubby even decided to bring half of his lasagna home.

Chicken and broccoli for dinner 😊
