I love David. when you really dig into the psalms he's just a normal cat like lost of us. you can feel his pain hear his struggles with depression see his failures. yet he always comes back to the goodness of God. he always knew how to get his heart back to the place of intamacy.

@Hebrew: The fact that David was rejected by his family (not invited from shepherding to meet Samuel, accused of being nosy when delivering food to his brothers at the battle), but was God's chosen king has always encouraged me. God's love for us is not reflected in the quality of relationships around us, while man may reject us God selects us. Blessings🙏🏽
